Currently owned and operated by Kenneth McDonald, the grandson of the founder, McDonald Plumbing/HVAC, Inc. has been a family-owned business since 1952, focusing on the plumbing needs of the people and businesses of Butler County and the surrounding communities. Started in a building on West Penn Street in the City of Butler, the recent growth of the company necessitated a move to our current facility at 1019 Evans City Road, Renfrew PA. This new facility boasts a sheet metal shop, a large warehouse, offices and a plumbing showroom.
As times have changed McDonald Plumbing/HVAC, Inc. has continued to keep up with the latest technologies, hiring the best installation and service technicians and outfitting them with the best available equipment necessary fo perfrom to the highest standards.

Our Staff
Ken McDonald - Owner
Ken is the 3rd generation owner of McDonald Plumbing/HVAC, Inc. He began working for the company in 1986 and worked through 1995 until the urge to explore got the better of him. From 1995 to 2000 he managed a 200 man shop in central Florida that specialized in all aspects of the plumbing and HVAC industry. While working in Florida he learned a lot of lessons that have proven invaluable in running his own company including the importance of customer satisfaction and the value of surrounding himself with an intelligent staff.
In 2000 Ken decided to return back to Western Pennsylvania and purchased the business from his father. Since that time he has steadily built the business from a one-man operation to the large crew that he employs today. Ken can be contacted at ken@mcplumbing.net

Erik Campbell - Comfort Consultant
Erik has been in the HVAC industry since 1988. After starting out as an installer's helper, he worked his way through the ranks as an installer and a service technician in both commercial and residential HVAC. Erik came to work as an installer at McDonald Plumbing/HVAC, Inc. in the fall of 2003 and has become an integral part of the company. In his position as Comfort Consultant, Erik specializes in making certain that both the homeowner and the commercial customer have the HVAC system necessary for their complete comfort. Doug Snyder - Service Manager
Doug started in the electronics end of the industry in 1996. After discovering that electronic controls is an integral part of the HVAC industry; he started in the plumbing and HVAC field in 1998 as an installer's helper and within a year had become a service technician.
In the summer of 2006, Doug was looking for a more modern and challenging position in the local field and found McDonald Plumbing/HVAC, Inc. to be just the ticket in this competitive industry. Kim Kresh - Office Manager
Kim started her career in the plumbing and HVAC industry with a large Western Pennsylvania contractor in 19something or other. In the intervening years she worked in serveral different positions in the industry ranging from a receptionist to an accounts payable bookkeeper. After a five-year stint as an office manager for an architectural firm and a few years off to be a stay-at-home mother, Kim made the move back to the plumbing and HVAC industry by accepting a position as the office manager of McDonald Plumbing/HVAC, Inc. Kim's responsibilities include accounts payable and accounts receivable, customer service and keeping Ken, Erik, and Doug pointed in the right direction. Kim also helps visitors to the retail plumbing showroom choose new fixtures for their bathrooms and kitchens.
